FOUNDERS
BAPPA began at the intersection of strategic experience and creative conviction—built in Jaipur by Jay Sharma and Tanuja Sharma with a shared belief in thoughtful, premium-yet-accessible ethnic wear.
FOUNDER & CEO
Jay Sharma is the Founder & CEO of BAPPA, a women’s ethnic wear brand rooted in Jaipur. With eight years in IT talent acquisition and HR leadership, he now channels that strategic rigor into building a lean, design-led e-commerce business.
At BAPPA, Jay owns branding, marketing, e-commerce, and operations—turning data, storytelling, and customer insights into growth. A passionate advocate for purposeful entrepreneurship, he balances boardroom discipline with a founder’s hustle, and finds joy in brand building, helping animals, and cooking at home.
CO-FOUNDER & HEAD OF PRODUCTION
Tanuja Sharma is Co-Founder and Head of Production at BAPPA, and a fashion designer at heart. She leads the end-to-end creation of BAPPA’s collections—from concept and fabric selection to process discipline and problem-solving on the ground.
For Tanuja, great fashion is built as much through teamwork and craftsmanship as it is through creativity. She brings a designer’s eye and an operator’s mindset to every piece, ensuring fit, finish, and authenticity. Outside work, she loves designing and tending to her garden.
OUR STORY
BAPPA began where corporate experience met creative conviction. After years in IT talent acquisition, Jay sought impact beyond hierarchies; together with Tanuja, a designer frustrated by generic, low-quality ethnic wear, they saw a gap for premium-yet-accessible pieces that celebrate real women.
From Jaipur’s textile heritage, BAPPA crafts breathable cottons, hand-block prints with local artisans, and inclusive sizing (XS–3XL), blending traditional motifs with modern, wearable silhouettes.
Every order funds the next step—scaling a brand built on poise, power, and purpose.
